Youth Outreach & Social Media Volunteer (Under 25 Focus)

Purpose:

Help Stride to Serve engage and grow a younger community (teens, college students, and young adults under 25) by leading youth-focused outreach efforts and managing social media channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Youth Outreach

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage youth and young adults under 25.

  • Build connections with schools, colleges, universities, youth groups, clubs, and student organizations.

  • Promote Stride to Serve events and volunteer opportunities to youth audiences.

  • Serve as a welcoming point of contact for young participants and first-time volunteers.

  • Gather feedback from youth participants to help shape future programming.

Social Media Management, Youth Focused

  • Manage Stride to Serve’s social media channels directed to young people (e.g., Instagram, TikTok).

  • Create and schedule engaging content for the target audience.

  • Ensure social media tone and visuals are approachable, inclusive, and youth-friendly.

  • Respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.

  • Track basic engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, follows) and share insights with the team.

Ideal Skills & Qualities:

  • Comfortable using and creating content for social media platforms popular with youth and young adults.

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable presence.

  • Interest in community service, fitness, and social connection.

  • Creative, proactive, and organized.

  • Experience with youth leadership, student groups, or peer outreach is a plus.

Time Commitment:

2–5 hours per month, flexible; may include attending events to capture photos or short videos.
