Fundraising & Development Volunteer

Purpose:

Help build Stride to Serve’s financial sustainability by supporting fundraising efforts, donor engagement, sponsorship outreach, and preparation of grant applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.

  • Prepare draft grant applications, including gathering organizational information, writing responses, and assembling required documents.

  • Support preparation of sponsorship applications and proposals for local businesses, foundations, or community partners.

  • Help maintain accurate donor, sponsor, and grant-tracking information.

  • Support writing thank-you notes, donor updates, and stewardship messages.

  • Assist in organizing small fundraising events or community gatherings.

Ideal Skills & Qualities:

  • Strong writing and communication skills.

  • Organized and detail-oriented, especially with documentation.

  • Comfortable reaching out to individuals, businesses, and foundations.

  • Interest in nonprofit fundraising and a willingness to learn.

Time Commitment:

3 - 5 hours per month, flexible.
