Fundraising & Development Volunteer
Purpose:
Help build Stride to Serve’s financial sustainability by supporting fundraising efforts, donor engagement, sponsorship outreach, and preparation of grant applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
Prepare draft grant applications, including gathering organizational information, writing responses, and assembling required documents.
Support preparation of sponsorship applications and proposals for local businesses, foundations, or community partners.
Help maintain accurate donor, sponsor, and grant-tracking information.
Support writing thank-you notes, donor updates, and stewardship messages.
Assist in organizing small fundraising events or community gatherings.
Ideal Skills & Qualities:
Strong writing and communication skills.
Organized and detail-oriented, especially with documentation.
Comfortable reaching out to individuals, businesses, and foundations.
Interest in nonprofit fundraising and a willingness to learn.
Time Commitment:
3 - 5 hours per month, flexible.
