Baylor Park Clean-Up and Walk/Run

  • Baylor Regional Park 10775 County Road 33 Norwood Young America, MN, 55397 United States (map)

Join us for the very first Stride to Serve event — a simple idea with a powerful impact: move your body, meet good people, and leave a place better than you found it.

We’ll start with a 45-minute run or walk and then spend some time clearing fallen branches from the campgrounds and gathering areas. It’s light volunteer work that makes an immediate difference for everyone who uses the park and makes life easier for the county staff who maintain the area.

No special skills required—just show up ready to move and help out.

Event Details

Location: Baylor Regional Park

Who Can Join: All fitness levels welcome, there is no too much or too little!

Whether you run, jog, or stroll, this event is about community, movement, and service.

What We’ll Do

1. Meet & Quick Welcome: Brief introduction to Stride to Serve and the day’s plan.

2. 45-Minute Run or Walk: Participants can run, jog, or walk at their own pace on a quarter mile or half mile out and back - go as far as you want, as fast as you want. No pace or distance is wrong!

This is not a race! We will not time you or track how far you go or watch if you don’t walk or run the whole time. If you’re happy, we’re happy!

3. Serve Together: We’ll collect and move fallen branches and debris from campgrounds and shared park spaces to keep the park safe and accessible.

4. Wrap-Up & Connect: A few minutes to relax, meet people, and celebrate a job well done.

Why Stride to Serve With Us?

We believe the best community events combine three things:

🏃 **Movement** – Exercise that feels good

🤝 **Connection** – Meeting people who care about the community

🌱 **Service** – Doing something tangible that improves a shared place

Even small acts—like clearing branches from trails—can make parks safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
