Baylor Regional Park 5k-ish walk/run and Clean-Up

Stride to Serve is a simple idea: move your body, meet good people, and leave a place better than you found it.

We’ll start with a 45-minute run or walk and then clear fallen branches from the campgrounds and gathering areas. It’s volunteer work that makes an immediate difference for everyone who uses the park. This project is a partnership with Carver County Parks & Recreation.

No special skills required—just show up ready to move and help out.

What We’ll Do

1. Meet & Quick Welcome: Brief warm-up and introduction to the day’s plan. There might be dancing for those who are interested!

2. 5k-ish Run or Walk: Run, jog, or walk at your own pace on a half mile-ish out and back course - three trips is a 5k but go as far as you want, as fast as you want, you've got 45 minutes. 5k is nice but no pace or distance is wrong! The out and back means you'll spend time with other participants no matter what pace you choose.

3. Serve Together: We’ll clean up and collect and move fallen branches and debris from campgrounds and shared park spaces to keep the park safe and accessible. This project is a partnership with Carver County Parks & Recreation.

4. Wrap-Up & Connect: A few minutes to relax, meet people, play some games and celebrate a job well done.

Why Stride to Serve With Us?

We believe the best community events combine three things:

🏃 **Movement** – Exercise that feels good

🤝 **Connection** – Meeting people who care about the community

🌱 **Service** – Doing something tangible that improves a shared place

Even small acts—like clearing branches from trails—can make parks safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
